Anaemia increases risk of dementia in those with MMSE >= 26

Low Hb-below 130 g/L men & 120 g/L women increases risk of dementia

In addition in subjects with MMSE >= 26....

With Hb < 25th percentile HR 1.2 (0.7–2.0)

With Hb WHO criteria HR 2.0 (1.0–3.8)
