Scales are defined based on sex-specific cutpoints: grip strength (male: <25 kg, 25 to <30, 30 to <40, and ≥40; female: <15 kg, 15 to <20, 20 to <25, and ≥25); gait speed based on time to walk 10-ft (men: ≥ 5 s, 4.5 s, 3.5 to 4 s, and ≤3 s; women: ≥ 5.5 s, 4.5 to 5 s, 3.5 to 4 s, and ≤3 s)
