Emotional loneliness

Social loneliness

Life satisfaction (SWLS, Pavot & Diener, 1993) [25]

Negative affect (PANAS, Watson et al., 1988) [26]

Optimism (Brandtstädter & Wentura, 1994) [28]

Self-efficacy (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1999) [29]

Self-esteem (Rosenberg, 1965) [30]

Stress (Cohen et al., 1983) [31]

Self-regulation (Freund & Baltes, 2002; Ziegelmann & Lippke, 2006) [32, 33]
